No gas here but its been a very cold winter for us. Electric bill was $125 last month (with temps in the 25 degree range at night, 20 degrees colder than normal) versus a normal of $75 here.
We have a sliding scale for billing on electric power. From 9 PM to 9 AM its cheaper then goes up a bit during the day. For me all the heavy draw items I can use (laundry/dryer and dishwasher as well as hot tub and swimming pool) run after 9 PM. Saves money for the Porsche fund.
