After renovating our 1930's era home and adding 1200sg ft (doubling the size of the house) and adding an additional furnace/AC unit and separating he house (1 furnace for basement and 1st floor, another furnace for 2nd floor), our gas bill dropped by 30%. This is pretty amazing considering we doubled the size of our home. Insulating the house and having 2 furnaces and separating the house into 2 "zones" has really increased the efficiency of our heating/cooling system. Our HVAC guy is a genius!!
