I have a 5.4 in an expedition and belive to have a messed up rocker on cylinder #3.. I need any advise to the quickest/easiest removal of the valve cover.. on the passenger side.. I am not real impressed with the durabilty of this engine and really would like to just fix it and sell it.. Any help would be great..

oh and symtoms are

runs fine when shut it off. 6 hours later go to start it up. runs on 6-7 cylinders making a poping from intake. snap-on modius says cylinder#3 missfire. remove coil pack poping goes away.. but modius says running lean both banks.. car sits in heated garage now for 2 days no change and we believe the exhaust valve is not opening causing the combustion to back up through the intake.. Anythoughts??
