Bob,

I think you have quite a nice SC based on your ad in the For Sale section. I wouldn't give up hope if you still wish to sell your car.

I looked pretty heavily for a car last year and saw many, many cars priced higher than yours that were in much worse shape.

Also, spring is right around the corner for a lot of us in the northern states and that brings out additional buyers. Once a few days of warm weather hits, everyone gets car fever and people get serious about buying sports cars. Now, with snow on the ground and sub zero temps in the northern climates, no one wants to deal with bringing a 911 home and then having to deal with it in this weather.

I know when I sold my '86 with 115,000 on it back in 2000, people would give me hassles about the stone chips on the front (it's original paint on a 15+ year old sports car for Pete's sake!!!) and pretend they heard certain parts making noise and all kinds of other B.S. to get the price down. However, I unloaded it quickly to a dealer since I priced it pretty agressively and I always had the car looking perfect. Always vaccummed, washed and waxed and the rims and tires detailed. All that stuff helps sell cars.

It takes a lot of patience to sell 20+ year old Porsches. If you are still thinking of selling, I wouldn't give up after just two weeks. This process can take months...

Best of Luck,

Jay
