One of the businesses that i'm a partner in is a DRTV production company.
It's not so much about a new and exciting product. It's really about the right product. Then it's about the offer and the spot itself. You can ruin the right product with the wrong offer or execution.
To really make a campaign payoff you also need a few upsell items. If you can come up with a continuity upsell even better.
