Oh and your disagreement on the cosign deal is an additional clue.
You need to understand that you are on a Porsche board. Many of the people you see talking about buying/selling/restoring P-cars have substantial means. It's easy to get into a 'if they can do it so can i' attitude, but remember-in many cases 'they' could write a check for 10 longhoods and not even notice it.
Grow up and take off the blinders.

Well said! P-Girl, you need to understand that all of these replies to YOUR inquiry are from people who honestly want you to be successful and have the means to own and support the car of your dreams. Hell, I didn't get mine until I was 38, I just couldn't afford buying AND maintaining it before then. I dreamed of a Guards Red Turbo since the 70's and when time was right I bought it. I'm not saying don't buy it, I'm saying do it the right way; on your own. You'll feel so much more pride in the ownership when you worked for it. This is the last you'll hear from me on this subject, I've said my piece. Good luck in whatever decision you make.
