Hard to say from those pictures, but the exhaust doesn't look so horrible considering that it's a ho-made turbo conversion. It could use some grinder+ high-temp paint.

It is definitely a coupe, however. Not sure why the other local guy said it was a targa(?) The rust shown is inconclusive; IOW it could have been the driest car on the planet until two years ago, and now the paint chip and exhaust have a little surface rust from ambient moisture. Or it could be a soggy turd w/ 200 lbs. of bondo. Or anything in between.

Unless there is something really goofy going on w/ your camera, that is not auburgine. Not even close. It looks more like 1987 Dodge Neon Barney purple w/ some SC flares and gold BBS wheels. You fell in love w/ this thing for its looks? Maybe there is some hope for us ugly guys in the world after all.
