Brillo,

Congrats! (you have GREAT taste - another Lisa !)...

scottmandue,

I am blushing... thankyou for the compliments - married and 41 or not; it's always GREAT to hear! I think that Aussie women in the main part don't take themselves too seriously - most of us are pretty comfortable with who we are; flaws and all .

You are not the only one to ask if I have a sister - sorry mate; I'm an only child and all my gorgeous girlfriends are now spoken for! Come to Aus and we'll see what we can find; OK?

Shaun 84 Targa,

That's a great range of gear - love the jackets and the Vintage Racer shirts!

Katie,

You're doing fine kid - time to buy some very good Porsche books and read them over several times and ask a lot more questions. By the time a couple of years have rolled around and you're ready to invest in a car of your own I'd like to think you have a lot more knowledge under your belt. You're passionate about these cars, so utilise your time-in-waiting to learn as much as possible. Don't leave the learning until you're ready to seriously look for a car - the curve is too steep. Use the SC as a working model and apply what you learn to that - pick the eye teeth out it even if there is nothing wrong in a particular area. Familiarise yourself with every square inch of your Dad's SC so that you are comfortable and knowledgable about the product.

Take it from me - you are walking in a man's world and unfortunately most guys will try to pull the wool over your eyes. They are not all like these Pelicanites who are sincere in their quest to help! The more knowledgable you are, the less likely it is that you will be taken advantage of. Remember - I have been walking in "this" world all my life - but I can be a very hard b!tch to deal with once a guy tries to BS to me....and I win or walk away. OK - enough of "the lesson".

I'd like to see a lovely pic of you and maybe your Dad if he'd be willing with the SC. Make it a good one, so you guys can enjoy looking at it from time to time. My Dad is gone now (nearly 4 years) and I cherish the father-daughter P-car shots I have...we had loads of really fun times together! Sorry - scanned photo (dates back to 1990!)...also this was day 4 or 5 of a Rally where the temps were well over 100 degrees in your language every day; so we both look kinda jaded... still had bags of fun though!
