I'm just an ordinary girl under "it all". I like girlie stuff, cry on queue for soppy movies or books, am a protective and doting Mum (touch my kid and you're goin' down type), all the usual stuff
. It's the car thing that gets the guys curious...
I met Mike motor racing - Ok that's a little different...I was timekeeper for a 24 hour race team (a girlfriend was team boss). Anyway, I got conned into going along and running the timing as my (then) 911 was off the road (pulled headstuds - aaargh); Easter time and no happy holidays for me without my P-car. VERY happily single at the time too. Mike was an unknown driver to the team - we were short one and he came highly recommended with a great Sports Sedan racing record. When he posted fastest day qualifying for the team (could've been night - can't remember) in a car he had never driven before I sat up and took a bit of notice. Turned out he was a great guy to boot (obviously) and within 12 months we'd tied the knot and the rest as they say is history. We share a HUGE passion for motorsport (among other things) and we're really just a couple of big kids when it all comes down to it - we manage to embarrass our eldest son with our silly antics fairly regularly (particularly me) but I don't think he'd have us any other way...
Point is - I wasn't looking AT ALL...just having fun hanging with a group of mates at a weekend race; which BTW we won

Katie; that's what is going to happen for you when looking for a car too...one day you'll "trip" over the right car that will have you head over heels for all the right reasons...for now lusting after the purple pig might have to do
