I install these for a living use tekon on the glass..... it and the water beads off the glass like quiksilver!!!! glass is very pourous even though it seems smooth and the "stains" that are visible are actually mineral build-ups that actually accumulate in the pours-eventually "etching" the glass---tekon fills in the pours of the glass to eliminate any damage that may occur from water that is left on the glass.........for people looking to install brand new enclosures ask your glass installer for "showerguard"--this is a factory applied interior coating to the glass thatcarries a ten-year warranty----tekon is an aftermarket product that must be applied about once a year.....hope this helps
