For those of you interested, the Marine Corps will be presenting the Commandant's Own at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. It is an outstanding show that will leave you breathless, David
Marines and family/friends of Marines -
As promised last year, the United States Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment is back and will perform at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on March 4, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. For those unfamiliar with the detachment, it is comprised
of:
1. The Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps (also known as "The Commandant's Own"). These musicians will demonstrate a mastery of music while on the march. 2. The Marine Corps Color Guard will be on hand to display the Marine Corps' battle colors and streamers earned during the more than 230 years of faithful service to our nation. 3. The Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. These Marines will perform a series of complex drill movements with M1 Garand rifles (with fixed
bayonets) - executing the movements with no verbal communication.
A flyer is attached. There is no need to RSVP. This event is FREE, and seating is first come-first served. The event is approximately one-hour long.
I would also appreciate if you could pass this information along to anyone you know who may be interested in seeing these great Marines in action.
