I would never stay out there with the animals. Anymore, if I don't have a pit pass, I'm not there. That's what makes our local racing so much fun. We can all be in the pits.

The wife and I followed the curcuit in the early ninetys 1989-1992. We became friends w Alan Kulwicki. We would go to all sorts of tracks. (Nascar was much different back then, smaller crowds) He would always arrange for Garage/ All Access passes for us. It was a great way to see Nascar.
Whenever we would mention that we wanted to see Talladega Alan would simply tell us, "you dont want to go to Talledega"
April 1, 1993 Alan died in his sponsors (Hooters) aircraft
a few months after winning the Championship. We miss you Alan,. Very intense guy.
