I'm not practical, I guess...
Guys,
Thanks for the good advice! I got Helga started (I had to turn the engine over with a wrench, then crank it a few times) and drove 20 miles for a brief "shakedown" and she's running great, so I'm driving the 911 to FL.
My real purpose is to enjoy the drive and the car, so taking the Mazda would be reliable, safe and fun, but the 911 will make the trip an adventure to be remembered! I'll take pics and see if I can call a few of my "Pelican buddies" on the way.
Monday AM, I'll be departing Wyandotte for a 3300 mile adventure in Helga! Wish me luck. I've got the two most important "tools" to have in situations like this... a credit card and a cell phone!
