Soo, something I have not done in the last 10 years, Run out of gas!.
I was in a hurry to go swap cars today and drive the Porsche that I failed to pay attention to the gas gauge. I leave the house and I am pulling up to a fairly busy red light when the car just dies. I tried to turn it over 2 and nothing, I looked and it showed right under a 1/4 tank so I thought something had broke. So I have to turn the car and head it in the opposite direction up hill (15 feet thank god) to get it into the driveway of a shopping center that had a gas station. Now I am in dress slacks and leather bottom dress shoes, so traction was at a minimun and surely comedic to the watchers. The entire time there is a helpful policeman right behind me (really was trying to help) saying let me line up my push bumper to your rear end and push you out of the way. In my head I am thinking "No way" so........

Instead I strain and get it turned around, thank him (for NOT pushing it) and roll it into the gas station maybe 100 yards away. I started pumping and had to know if it was fuel or not, so I turn it over and tada fires right up. Talk about feeling like an idiot. You can bet the red light will not stay lit long on mine from here on out.

The funny part is the struggle to turn it around with all the kids pointing at the car to thier parents!!

Thought you guys may get a kick out of it even if it has never happened to you.
