Loved your story about the fiberglass body on the VW. The 1969 Z28 was such a fast car, I bet you have some stories to tell about your escapades with that machine. My friends that had '69 Z's told me about some hair raising experiences that came inheirent with the car.
Of all the Chevrolet cars, I always liked the Camaros and Chevelles the most. My 1973 454 Corvette ended up going off the cliff near the Stone Canyon Resevoir on Mulholland due to being a big, heavy, cumbersome plow. And it's a good thing that there wasn't any oncoming traffic when I crossed the double-yellow and went sailing off the cliff and into a tree head on. The tree kept me from going right into someone's house that was built just below Mulholland Drive. Ouch!
