Yes, you are confused. The word "******" is widely considered a viscous, bigoted slur against gay people. It is on par with calling a black person "nigger" when used to someone's face. She knows this, but she doesn't care. I have never read anywhere that John Edwards is secretly, (or openly), gay, so I'm not even sure of the context. Handsome? Perhaps. A narcissist? Could be. Gay? Never heard that one.
Even if Edwards was gay, calling him a "******" in front of a speaking audience would pretty much be a slam-dunk bigoted slur. I can't recall a comparable public remark from anyone in recent years by a public figure, in fact. From the left or right.
And you seem to think that she is pretty. Yes, you are confused. I've seen way better-looking trannies when I exit Western Ave. from the 101 going home late at night. (And no, I don't offer them a ride).
