Yeah, it's embarassing for me! The PO did that conversion, and we have so much "stuff", returning it to garage status was a non-starter. It's been used as a sorta' garage/storage area since we moved in, and now that the attic wiring issues are about to be resolved by the electrician rewiring the new kitchen, the rest of the attic flooring will go in and much of the "stuff" now in the den area will go up there. The big struggle for finishing the den flooring will be the removal of the garage door, the PO simply boxed the door in with framing and sheetrock. I'll save the door for the new garage, it's a 16 footer, too expensive to scrap.

The kitchen is being done professionally so that the disruption is kept to the shortest time possible, if I'd done it it would have taken at least three months, and I'd still have to farm out the cabinets and countertops. You only have to do dish washing in the bath tub a few times to want it over with.
