Lacking any better info, you might try doing a web search ahead of time to pick out some likely candidates, to save you time when you are on the road.

I bought a used BMW 325xi for my wife (I will get to use it in the summer) this way since I could not find a car locally that matched my criteria (5-speed) and my wife's (dark blue with tan leather interior). I travel to Virginia often on business and usually fly into Washington DC, and was able to find the car we wanted in Maryland, about a 20 minute cab ride from the airport.

Check vehix.com, autotrader.com, the "automobiles" section of yahoo.com or MSN.com, etc., I am sure I am forgetting others. The BMW showed up on one of these sites (not sure which one) and was also listed on the certified preowned section of the BMW website. Since you are looking for an older vehicle, you won't be able to find it in a CPO program, but you might be able to find a list of GM or Ford dealers in OK and search the inventory on the dealer websites.

That should be a fun trip. Good luck with your search.

Scott
