Sounds like it could be a job for a super-salesperson. Sell the quality, persuade them that it's not worth it for them to take the "cheapest" route.
Do you have samples of their overseas-manufactured product? Maybe you can find more flaws in it than they are aware and demonstrate that the superior quality you offer is well worth it?
