964 crushed head gasket - replace while engine is in car?

Well, I figured out my terrible noise while the engine is running, and also figured out why one cam was tighter than the other. I had crushed a displaced head gasket when seating the heads to the cylinder without knowing it. Now it leaks during compression and sounds terrible!!! Sounds like a hole is blown in a muffler or something!

Anyhow, is it possible to remove the entire right bank of heads with the cam still installed while the engine is still in the car to sneak in a new, uncrushed, cylinder to head sealing ring?

It seems possible because I don't need that much room to sneak it in there: undo the cam sprocket so chain is not attached, loosen head bolts, loosen intake, remove heat exchanger, pull apart head assembly, sneak in new cylinder sealing ring.... seem possible???

It's a C4 and I really don't feel like pulling the engine again - just so much work!!!
