I've spoken with Paul on the phone and I think I see his point in all this. The P-car scene changed and left him behind, and I say that in favor. The scene changed in SoCal many years ago and people have lambasted that time and again on many of these bbs's. No one waves or flashes lights, that sort of thing. The great chasm between water and air cooled.
I speculate that PWD will continue to enjoy his pick up, maybe even get a newer one if the old one starts to give him trouble. One thing you don't need in the autumn years of life is a PITA vehicle.
