I am truly curious PWD...not Trolling, nor making fun. For me my old car has nothing to do with a Club Scene, I loved them before I ever heard of the PCA, Registry or any other organization, and have never belonged to anything but the Early Registry. That is until they kicked me out.

Also when I did drive my 911 it was a joy to drive, and that is a solitary bonding of man and machine. Which has nothing to do with being Social.

The only thing that would have got me to sell my car would have been the loss of enjoyment in driving it, or perhaps if it became more trouble in keeping it up than the enjoyment I got out of it. What other people said or thought or even how the club scene had changed would make no diff to me at all. Its about me and my car.

I've had a Rolls Royce, it is a car where U get noticed, and after awhile I got tired of it and have chosen a Ford Truck as a daily driver, partially because no one notices U in it. I found that most people don't notice U in an old 911, it is just another old P car to them.

In the past coupla years I have come to the place where I think how many S&W mdl 27s do I need. I got 2 postwars and 2 prewar Registerd Mags, I don't need anymore. Perhaps I am just gong to refine what I allready have, or fill in a blank where one exists when I find it. Maybe just to keep my hand in it will be a little in and out of the collection as it strikes my fancy.

If I did not collect Spoons I would literally be out Dredging for Gold in the hills. So it has to do with the search and aqquistion more than the the stuff itself.
