Obviously, we heard & felt it too. I thought for sure there had been a large explosion -- it was VERY loud. It sounded like it was in my house. I immediately went out of my house expecting to see smoke somewhere & all of my neighbors up & down the street were outside trying to figure out what happened.

I had no idea it was an earthquake until, like you, I saw something on the news.

You are in the insurance business...Isn't earthquake covered by homeowners insurance? I used to know the answer to that -- I was in the insurance business many years ago.
