Thanks for the comments! I don't do bodywork or paint so that was all done by a local bodyshop. The pictures I have from before are of poor quality since they were taken from the eBay listing resulting in the image being none too clear. The original paint was still present but there was lots of rock chips and dings(someone definitely had fun driving!) but the bodyshop said it wasn't bad at all and they could work with it. I recovered the seats, dash, and headliner but other than that the interior is still stock. The previous owner had given up on the 944 in lieu of working on his recently purchased 1970 Mercury Cougar, and had said if no one bought the 944 he was going to sell the wheels and have the rest hauled to the junkyard as his yard was already filled up with 3 other parted out vehicles. Now that really would have been a shame!
