Yes, I am form Spain and live in Madrid. Very nice country, good weather, friendly people, growing economy... we have our issues too but overall a good choice.
The Porsche scene is not as active as in the US. The official Porsche club is a bit "snobbish" and tend to favor latest models and high cost cars. However there are other options (informal meetings, day trips, regularity rallyes (I'm quite involved in those).
Regarding importing cars, all cars 25 years or older are eligible for historicl plates. This involves reduced inspections (although the process is somewhat complicated) but you should not have problems getting your car registered.
