Jake, the Bee Gees totally deserve to be in the R&R HOF. Disco is way closer to R&R than rap is and I vividly remember listening to a radio station in Dallas when I was very young and hearing Bee Gees, Boston, Peter Frampton, Gerry Rafferty, Leo Sayer and Donna Summer all in the same hour. It was all rock then. I really think disco took on its own brand with the rise of Studio 54 and when Van Halen I came out and single-handedly killed the disco movement for good, guitar rock came back and got bigger than ever.
