True story: [personal anecdote to distract opponent]
When I was 14, I got a guitar for Christmas. I was SOO excited.
Before I even had a chance to play it, my stepfather decided to do a Pete Townsend impersonation... playing it behind his back, swinging it around etc... We were all laughing so hard, him included, that he lost his footing, stumbled back and dropped it down the stairs... trashed it. Complete silence, then we all LOST IT. It took a good 20 minutes before we stopped laughing.
Nowadays that would have been captured on video and all over youtube.
