Maybe you're right but I believe all you have to do is look at our Military. Most people never stop to think that an old man ready to retire with 20 years is usually in his late 30s. Some of our fighter pilots are Katie's age!
By the time I was 26 I was in charge of all the avionics on my shift for 24 aircraft. I was not an unusual case. I still don't have a 4 year degree.
Believe me, I've paid lots of "stupid tax!" I've bought far more little toys that I've lost interest in than I can count. I could probably buy a NEW Porsche for what I've blown on stupid junk. But it was always money that would not affect the way we lived.
If I had it to do over again, I would not go into debt for ANYTHING other than a house. I will never have another car payment even if that someday means I'm having to drive a $1000.00 beater.
