I'm beginning to lose respect for "Mother" -- first she doesn't seem to understand the financial risks to the dollar and the upside potentials for the gold market, now she doesn't seem to understand the subtleties of being successful.
Margaret Thatcher on the issue of being "powerful," but can be applied when it comes to the question of being "successful" too:
"Being powerful is like being a lady, if you have to tell people you are....you aren't."
