Because through their heinous acts they've forfeited their humanity. Hmm, I speed, I kill spiders and mosquitos, I can be a real a55 at times, but "we've all done wrong at some time or another"... I've never raped
anyone. Come to think of it, I haven't killed anyone either.
Nope, they deserve long term torture and eventually death, but I think it'd be better to just kill them quick and get it over with. They aren't worth the time and expense.
