I don't think it's selfish, perhaps short sighted but I can understand the reasoning.

Another question I'm getting conflicting answers on is the icing routine. I have been told both:
Ice it constantly for the first day or two, as much as possible.
and..
Ice it on and off in 20 minute cycles for the first day or two.
Which is it?
