tech, you and thom are pretty funny. Shouldn't you have asked if Newt's wife and the former Mrs Giuliani were running. Interesting how you picked the peripheral reference rather than address the selfishness of the man we are talking about with respect to his wife and children.
Even if she insisted he run, it would still be awful choice to make. It is not that he is that interested in "dedicating his life to the American people" It is that he is that interested in himself and his run for the white house.
He is a young man, he could do the right thing for his family, and still run in a few years after she has passed away and his children are in a better position to deal with the loss. I have seen people die of metastatic bone cancer and it is not pretty. His children are going to go through that alone. He might even have gotten my vote if he had done that, and I am a doctor, his sworn enemy. Instead, he shows his true priorities, and they are pretty fuched up, even if you only think about it for the briefest instant with the partisan sunglasses off.
How terrible would it be for a man like that to be elected president?
