It sounds like you are assuming the answer will justify the nominal increase in the price of a bushel of corn over 60 years. I would be interested in the numbers too.
Additionally, oil was $10 a barrel in 1950, now it's around $60. How much did it cost to produce a barrel in 1950 and what does it cost now?
