There was nothing democratic about the HS's that I attended. If you want high school to be democratic, the inmates will be running the asylum.

What is wrong with students having respect for the good judgement of their elders. This play could have had a very disruptive impact in the school as well as the community. If the kids want to protest (and I'm not saying that is what they were planning) let them organize and do it on their own time not when they should be learning in school.
