The restaurant you are thinking of has to be Gundel. It is a culinary temple - and although tourists now predominate, it is still worth the visit. You have to eat heavy - but its worth it. Last time I had a duck menu. Six courses I think: all variations on a duck theme. Outrageous fois gras etc.
