That's BS. I agree that the seller should have offered up the discount if they advertised if and you missed it. You overlooked an advertised discount if I read this right. If so, it's yours to claim.
BTW, while touching near the subject, I hate "rebates." It seems most are set up so that many people will forget or miss some stupid little detail so they can deny the refund. I won't buy anything with a rebate attached unless I expect to not ever see the money and the purchase is still economically viable.
For that reason alone, I've been to Fry's about 3 times in as many years. They could have a lot more of my money if they'd sell straight up. It's not going to be my problem, if the manufacturer wants to discount the product, they should sell it cheaper on the wholesale end.
