You are entering a property line dispute. Because the outcome can get nasty, I suggest you think about contacting an attorney with a real estate specialty and talk to him or her about a likely surveyor. Also, it can get expensive. The best solution is to work out a solution with the neighbor and share the survey expense, if possible, before the whole thing gets to a bad point(like war with the neighbor).
