And having owned a 944 S2 for almost ten years since new I have to agree that it is a better balanced car. But it had some awfully cheap features (try finding one without a broken glove box door) that the 964 didn't even begin to approach. I currently own a 993- I miss the 944 but not so much I'd give up a 993 or a 964 for it.

Form follows Function and one of the reason I'm not a fan of much after 98, the dash, mirrors, even door handles look like something off a Ford. I went from a 964 back too an 88 Carrera, funny thing, the 88 is worth more

One of the reasons people use to buy Porsches was that they maintained their classic lines, other than the way they drive, and last, that is part of what drew me too Porsche.
