Well, I've owned water cooled Porsches since 85, and while whar you describe is accurate, that doesn't mean there is a better way. I've only had from a 78 924 to an 89 turbo, been tracking 944s since 87, and crewing since the mid 90s. Many things worth owning requir special tools.
