Lets put that in perspective please.
Approximately 1500 people die each day in the United States due to cancer. About 3,400 people are diagnosed with cancer each day in the U.S.
40,000 people died in traffic accidents per year. Traffic accidents are actually the leading cause of death for those between 6 and 33 years of age.
Now I don't want to minimize those 81 deaths. I'm not sure they were needed, and I don't even know of the war is needed, but waving the red shirt on them is pretty weak also.
