You couldn't get a Producer to pick up the tab for lunch, much less "donate" his CGT for a crash scene in his movie.
I was working on a film in Houston a few years back, and they were going to crash a Ferrari in the film. So, they bought a Ferrarri and took it to Houston and since the scene wasn't going to be shot for 4 weeks, the Producer decided it would be the perfect vehicle for him to drive on location.
Well, 1 week passed and the scene was re-written to where the car crashed into a wall. 2 weeks passed and the car was then supposed to crash into some trash cans. 3 weeks later the car was going to crash thru some bushes. 4th week they wrote the crash scene out all together and the Producer kept the car. Must have driven really nice.
