Why do you say drier? As air heats up, it can hold more water. Deserts are usually locally produced areas due to a removal of moisture by precooling geograhy. Look where deserts are and usually you find them downwind of very high mountains. Or you find them where the ocean waters are cold.
If global warming occurs, it will lead to higher worldwide specific humidity, higher lattitudes of aeable land and longer growing seasons. Sounds about right for a booming worldwide population.
