Bob, the problem with what you are basing your argument on is that climatic cycles taking place over 100,000's of thousands of years. The oldest tree ring data is something more the 10,000 years old -- which doesn't even cover a single climatic cycle of any significance. Ice cores do go back about 450,000 years, but they only covers the polar regions.
The bottom line is that it is very hard to separate the noise from the data (from the hype) when it comes to climate changes.
