Actually, I think they need to step up, or get out of the way. Sure, they are quick to scream about discrimination and issues, and organize million men marches to complain about disparity, etc. However, when the poor (and mostly black, but that shouldn't be an issue) in NOLA needed them (and the city still needs cleaning up), I don't see them organizing the "million man help a fellow human out with a place to live", the "million man cleanup" or anything similar... I don't see them encouraging the average poor black man to step up and work for bettering themselves, etc.
Lead, follow, or get the heck out of the way.
