Had Enough? Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course." Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I'll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out!

Sure, Lee is a liberal, but it's hard to argue with the litany of problems he lists in the expanded excerpt.
There is a segment of the American population that doesn't want to be bothered with thinking about government. And there is a core within that group that longs for a 'strongman' style of government where their opinions are irrelevant anyway. But we've effectively had one-party rule for 6+ years and we've seen the greatest growth in debt, the worst pork barrel spending and the most flagrant waste of our military's power in history. Not to mention the greatest encroachment on individual liberties since we were under British rule.
Maybe it's time we remembered our revolutionary roots.
