Use some fishing line or dental floss. Use it like a saw to remove the emblem. It will cut the doublesided tape in half. To get the half off that's stuck to the deck lid use "Goof Off". It won't hurt the paint. Then use some light compound to clean the paint and wax.

Using the fishing line method will work without heat. I don't like putting heat on paint. Murphy say's leave the heat on a second too long and it will bubble.

I used this method when replacing the RS America emblems on my RSA.

The "Good Off" will melt the Porsche plastic emblems. I used acetone with a small sharpened piece of wood to remove the double sided tape remains from the emblem. Time consuming, but didn't destroy the emblem.
