Everything, trekkor, is local in nature. Most folks are affected by things in a 5 mile radius from where they reside. That being said; problems arise from a number of factors, most of which have their roots in emotion. Envy, ego, greed and fear to name a few. Eliminate the negative emotional factors, concentrate on the positive and practical, and much of the problem would go away.
I am convinced that most of the citizenry of this little globe would be a lot happier if everyone learned to mind their own business, and help when asked. Too many people trying to convince others that one lifestyle, whether it be a political system or a religious belief is superior to another. As long as that individual lifestyle or culture does not harm its members or others, either physically or mentally, others should leave it alone. If that culture believes in torture, submission, slavery or worse and becomes a threat to itself or its neighbors, then intervention may be called for.
One final observation: As the world population continues to increase, the situation will continue to decline.
