I agree that PB Blaster rocks. I've cleaned out the gunk and sprayed the connection. Hopefully, I will get it to give this week and I can finish up the drop next weekend.
Otherwise, everything else came off really smoothly. I think that the engine could be dropped less than an hour after the hard oil line is detached.
I guess I was looking for someone who had better knowledge/skill with engines who could tell me what I was doing wrong. However, this board pretty much answered all the questions. Tyson, real550a and wangrande came through in a big way for me.
You guys are more than welcome to come over for some beers and check out the drop next weekend. We'll need the support.
