Take a look at the power curve of a stock Carrera, then ask yourself when a free flowing muffler is most advantageous. If you think you can increase the efficiency of the engine with the pipe to an appreciable level....without other mods, I'll sell you some "Type-R" stickers for your car.
As for the "elbow" they just make noise. Those are the guys that I referenced in my 1st post
