Yes, I typed that wrong on purpose. The use of "your" in place of the correct contraction for "you are," which is, of course, "you're" has nearly become the norm. I see it over 50% of the time here on Pelican and frequently enough on writings on the Internet. I've seen it in brochures and advertising. I just wonder how much longer before it gets by some copy editor at a major newspaper.

Indeed, this is one of my pet peeves. However, I suspect that the age of Blackberries and the new shorter word forms contributes to this mis usage.

List some of the other common errors like "here" and "hear." Or, the three different forms of "there." I've seen some that really make me LOL.
